AKSHAYA & kudumbashree

May be the new two words to non-Keralites, but well known to Keralites, even interior, tribal or coastal areas. In my words, these two initiatives are the silent revoulton on the villages, in the state of Kerala. I think this concept of kudumbashree and AKSHAYA should be replicated in every part of world.

kudumbashree ( http://www.kudumbashree.org/ ) is state Govrntment of Kerala's mission to eradicate the poverty from evry corners. It is based on micro enterprises by group of people , who owns it and works for it. The concept is specifically for the house wifes or womans ( the people who suffers more with the poverty) to make little earnings or daily wages. This silent movement already made crores of investment and thousands of employment. The state governtment helps the community group (kudumbashree) to get loan from the banks to start the micro enterprise. The micro enterprises spawn in every sectors of the society. The other part of kudumbashree is, it has improved the agricultural sector by farming vegitables, wheat, etc, Which i feel, a big news for a consumer state like kerala (depends everything on neighbours). Even the backward districts like Wynad and Kasaragod has got lot of kudumbashree units, this shows initiatives penetration into rural areas.

AKSHAYA ( http://210.212.236.212/akshaya/ )is a e-litaracy initiatives by the governtment of Kerala. ONe of the most innovative and ambitious movement after the nearly total successful implementation of litaracy initiative by the kerla governtment.
