Startup Boom

There are lot of new companies or startups came out this year, from India, It is the real sign of second dot com boom, after the first bubble burst in 90's. Thanks to Incubation centres and broad minded techies.

I feel, this is the year of shifting the focus of traditional dot com companies to its higher level like, RIA, SOA etc..

I came across a link :: (http://gdit.iiit.net/%7Ethiyagarajan/IndianTechStartupJun2006.htm), which is giving the list of start up companies in India, in the year 2006. The interesting thing is, the companies listed here are all over India, not only from big IT cities like Bangalore, Noida, etc..
This shows, our IT boom is going into the root levels( not exactly).

Infant Marketing

These days i'm in a process of thinking about Merketing a infant product..got some points (Not conclusions!!!)

Every small(dont consider this "small"...its "great"..) business owner-manager must ask the following questions to devise effective marketing strategies:

Who are my customers and potential!!! customers?
What kind of people are they?
Where do they live?
Can and will they buy?
Am I offering the kinds of goods or services they want - at the best place, at the best time and in the right amounts?
Are my prices consistent with what buyers view as the product's value?
Are my promotional programs working?
What do customers think of my business?
How does my business compare with my competitors? (I dont want them!! coz.. idea is Unique)

This is about market research i spoke...

i feel 4 points are needed to be keep in mind before any Plan...

-Market research(As its not a perfect science)
-Market Strategy
-Target Marketing
-Customer satisfaction(Last but everything)

Other three are in process....

keep tracking.......Folks...
